Suffolk police are investigating a crash that injured a pedestrian in the parking lot of the Islip Long Island Rail Road station just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police had few details but offered the following account:

Paul Findley, 45, of Islip, was involved in an argument with a woman driving a car. She tried to drive away, police said, and unintentionally hit Findley, police said.

The car, police said, rolled on top of Findley and Islip Fire Department and police pushed it on its side to free him.

Findley was taken to Southside Hospital to be treated for broken ribs, police said. No charges have been filed in the incident.
