Suffolk County Crime Stoppers released photographs Tuesday of two suspects wanted in the theft of about $2,000 in merchandise from a Cold Spring Harbor jewelry store in December.

Second Precinct detectives said a man and a woman entered the Huntington Antiques Center at about 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 14. The two inquired about Rachel Ahdoot jewelry and wanted to see merchandise on the lower shelf of a display case.

Police said as the store's owner reached down to the lower shelf, the male suspect took two pieces of jewelry from an upper shelf.

Photographs of the suspects were taken from video surveillance cameras at the store.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
