Cox poised for re-election to NYS GOP

Despite grumbling last year from some Republican insiders about the state of their state party, Westhampton native Edward Cox appears poised to win a second two-year term as New York's GOP chairman. The state party committee is expected to meet the last week of September for a vote. Other candidacies have failed to materialize. -- Dan Janison
