Crash closes LIE at Exit 70 in Manorville

Suffolk Police closed the Long Island Expressway in both directions in Manorville this afternoon after a vehicle overturned in the westbound lanes.

Police are still on the scene of the crash, which occurred about 3:31 p.m. near Exit 70. Traffic was closed near Exit 70 both eastbound and westbound, police said. The Route 111 on-ramps were also closed.

It was not immediately clear if any other vehicles were involved in the crash. The condition of the driver of the overturned vehicle was also unknown.
