A Suffolk police vehicle was involved in a four-car crash in Farmingville on Friday evening that sent all drivers involved to a hospital, according to a department spokesperson.

Responding to a call around 5:08 p.m., the Suffolk police vehicle was traveling west on Horseblock Road with its lights and sirens activated when another vehicle attempted to make a right turn at the Old Medford Avenue intersection, causing a collision, the Suffolk police spokesperson said.

The civilian’s vehicle then crashed into a pole and hit a third vehicle, according to an email from the agency. Debris from the crash also struck a fourth vehicle, which broke a window and damaged the hood, police said.

All four drivers were taken to nearby hospitals to receive treatment for nonlife threatening injuries, according to the Suffolk police spokesperson.
