A Dix Hills road closed after an out-of-control car struck a utility pole early Wednesday has been reopened, police said.

The one-vehicle crash occurred on Daly Road, just south of Larkfield Road, at 4:04 a.m., Suffolk County police said. Police said the driver was not seriously injured in the crash.

Police said a LIPA crew responded to the scene to make repairs to the damaged pole.

The road was reopened by midmorning, police said.
