A woman who crashed her car into a Patchogue food store Thursday was arrested and charged with drunken driving under Leandra's Law, Suffolk County police said.

Police said the child, a 6-year-old boy, was a cousin of the driver involved in the crash.

Danielle Cirricione, 41, of Farmingville, was driving her 1999 Nissan when police said she crashed it into the Subway Express food store on West Avenue just after 5 p.m. Police said she hit the store, broke the front glass windows and damaged a wall.

No one was injured.

Police said Cirricione was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra's Law, which makes it a felony, even on first offense, to drive drunk with a child age 15 or younger in the car.

Cirricione also was charged with DWI and with endangering the welfare of a child.

Leandra's Law is named for Leandra Rosado, an 11-year-old girl who was killed when the car she was riding in, driven by a drunken driver, overturned on the Henry Hudson Parkway in Manhattan in October 2009.
