A Queens man was drunk and speeding on the Long Island Expressway in Brentwood early Saturday morning with his 4- and 5-year-old daughters in the car, Suffolk police said.

David Bellamy, 54, of 102 Street in Corona, faces charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger 15 years old or younger, a violation of the state's Leandra's Law.

Bellamy also is charged with driving while intoxicated and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Suffolk Highway patrol pulled over Bellamy's 1995 Chevrolet around 1 a.m. as it was speeding on the westbound LIE near Exit 55 and discovered he was intoxicated. Bellamy's daughters were not injured, police said.

Leandra's Law is named for 11-year-old Leandra Rosado, who was killed when a van driven by a friend's mother, Carmen Huertas, crashed on the Henry Hudson Parkway in October 2009. The law, enacted in November 2009, makes it a felony, even on first offense, to drive drunk with anyone under age 16 in the vehicle.

Bellamy was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip.
