A Suffolk County Community College employee has been arrested for secretly shooting a video of a female student under a table at an event on the Brentwood campus, police said.

David Marchese, 32, of Islip, was sitting at a table at an awards ceremony when he used his cellphone to create the video about 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the college's Grant Campus on Crooked Hill Road, according to police.

Police said a witness said Marchese appeared to be aiming his phone under the table at the woman's underwear. The witness notified security, who contacted police.

Police charged Marchese, a custodian, with second-degree unlawful surveillance. He was booked overnight Saturday at the Third Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned Sunday morning in First District Court in Central Islip.
