DEC reopens more shellfishing areas post-Sandy

The state Department of Environmental Conservation Tuesday reopened more certified shellfishing areas that had been closed because of water quality concerns related to superstorm Sandy.
The follow areas are now open to shellfish harvesting:
The following shellfish areas are closed through Thursday:
DEC will continue to monitor closed areas and will reopen them as soon as possible.
