Dirt bike rider seriously injured in Selden crash, cops say

A dirt bike rider was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after he and a vehicle collided in Selden Wednesday, Suffolk police said.
The injured man, 24, struck the car on College Road, just south of Middle Country Road at 4:45 p.m., police said. His name was not released.
The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said, while the vehicle’s driver, who was not injured, stayed at the scene.
Other details, including the age of the bike rider and circumstances of the crash, were not immediately available early Wednesday evening as Sixth Precinct detectives investigated.
