Some lanes of Sunrise Highway between Brook Avenue in Bay Shore and Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon will be temporarily closed during nighttime hours, the state Department of Transportation said.

One or two lanes will be closed in both directions from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday so that temporary lane striping and temporary concrete barrier can be put in place, DOT said.

The agency said the timing for completion of the work would depend on the weather.

The work is part of an overall project to repair six bridges in Nassau and Suffolk counties, DOT said.
