DOT: Westbound LIE in Hauppauge to be closed overnight

To accommodate sign structure safety work, all westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway in Hauppauge near Motor Parkway, Exit 55, are to be closed Wednesday and Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., the state Department of Transportation said.
Shutdown begins around 9:30 p.m., the DOT said.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes or be prepared for travel delays.
