A motorist in a single-car accident was taken to the hospital Tuesday after her sport utility vehicle rolled several times in East Shoreham, authorities said.

The unidentified woman was traveling south about 10:25 a.m. on the William Floyd Parkway, south of Route 25A, when she lost control of her Jeep Grand Cherokee, police and Wading River fire officials said.

Police said the driver wasn't seriously injured.

She was waiting in another motorist's car for first responders to arrive and was admitted to Stony Brook University Hospital as a precaution due to the high-impact rollover, said Wading River Fire Chief Kevin McQueeney.

He said the roads were slippery at the time of the crash due to snow.
