A Huntington Station man faces a marijuana possession charge after being stopped Monday for having illegally tinted windows on the Meadowbrook Parkway in Lake Success, State Police said.

Troopers pulled over a black Nissan with illegally tinted windows driven by Demetrius Armstrong, 27, at 5:21 p.m., police said Wednesday.

During the traffic stop, police said they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. They searched the car and found about 3 grams of marijuana, police said.

Armstrong is charged with illegal possession of marijuana and traffic violations.

He is scheduled to return to First District Court in Hempstead on May 30.
