Driver hurt in East Patchogue crash with cops, police say

A driver was hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash with a police vehicle in East Patchogue on Friday evening, police said.
Suffolk County police said a 1990 Toyota and the police vehicle collided on County Road 101, south of Hospital Road, about 6:05 p.m.
The Toyota driver was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue in serious condition, police said.
The officer was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
