Driver injured in Coram crash, Suffolk police say

A driver was hospitalized with minor injuries after a sport utility vehicle hit a utility pole early Thursday in Coram, police said.
The identity of the driver was not released.
That driver, whose condition was not known, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, Suffolk County police said. There were no charges as a result of the crash.
Police said the crash occurred on Middle Country Road just east of Winfield Davis Drive and was reported at 3:11 a.m.
Roads in the area were closed for about 90 minutes.
