Driver killed in 2-vehicle Fort Salonga crash, police say

A Fort Salonga man died in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday in his home community, Suffolk police said.

Lawrence Margott, 91, was driving an Acura south on Meadow Glen Road when the collision occurred with a Dodge Ram going west on Pulaski Road, police said.

Margott was pronounced dead at the intersection shortly after the 10:45 a.m. crash, police said. The Dodge driver was not injured, officials said.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks, police said.
