State Police are trying to determine the cause of a one-car accident that killed a Brentwood woman Monday on the Sunken Meadow Parkway in Smithtown.

Police said in a news release that Reina Flores-Chicas, 61, was driving a 2009 Nissan north about 7 a.m. when she drove off the parkway and struck a tree.

She was pronounced at the scene by emergency medical technicians, police said.

Anyone with information can call New York State Police at 631-231-5962. All calls will be kept confidential.
