Driver killed in one-car crash in Speonk

A Commack man died Tuesday after he flipped his pickup truck and was ejected in a single-vehicle crash in Speonk, State Police said.

Frederick Coulton, 79, was driving on Sunrise Highway, just east of Old Speonk-Riverhead Road, at about 11 a.m. when his truck veered from the roadway to the shoulder, overturning it, said State Police spokesman Frank Bandiero.

Coulton was pronounced dead at the scene, Bandiero said.
