A Hampton Bays man faces a drunken driving charge after Southampton Town police found him parked illegally in a fire zone Sunday night with his engine running, according to a news release.

Luis Rios Cruz, 33, was behind his steering wheel about 5:30 p.m. in the lot at the United Artist movie complex in Hampton Bays, Town police said.

As police investigated his parking violation, they found that Cruz was in an "intoxicated condition," the release said.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on a charge of driving while intoxicated at Southampton Town Court.
