Woman, 94, drowns in backyard pool in Mount Sinai, Suffolk police say
Suffolk County police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a 94-year-old woman who they said drowned Thursday while staying at a relative's home in Mount Sinai.
Police said officers responding to a 911 call at 7:51 p.m. found Kihee Kim "unresponsive" in the backyard pool of a home on Kingston Road. She was taken to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, where she was pronounced dead, police said in a statement.
