Residents in the East Farmingdale water district are being asked to boil their water as a precaution after a power failure caused an outage of four or five hours at generating plants Sunday.
Water district Superintendent George Veilson said 2,800 residents live in the district. He said the residents should boil their water Sunday and Monday "as a precaution."
The system is currently back on line, Veilson said. - JIM BERNSTEIN
