E. Quogue woman accused of shoplifting

A 50-year-old East Quogue woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after police said security personnel at a Stop & Shop store in Hampton Bays saw her shoplifting items there.

Ann Hennessy was charged with petit larceny and was given an appearance ticket for a later date in Southampton Town Justice Court.

Southampton Town police said Hennessy was arrested after store security personnel reported she had been seen taking the items at about 3 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what items were taken.
