East Farmingdale storage facility robbed
Two men, one of them armed, robbed an East Farmingdale public storage facility Friday morning, tying up three workers before fleeing with cash and a cellphone, Suffolk police said.
The robbers entered Public Storage, 305 Broadhollow Rd., about 11:35 a.m. One displayed a handgun and ordered the three employees to lie down behind the counter, Suffolk County police said in a news release.
"The two suspects tied the employees up and stole cash and a cellphone," before fleeing, police said..
One suspect was described as in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall to 6 feet tall, with a thin build and a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, dark clothing with a black and white checkered bandanna covering his face, police said.
The other suspect was in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, dark complexion, a thin mustache and long thin sideburns. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap and dark clothing, police said.
