The snow-covered body of an East Hampton woman was found outside her home by East Hampton Town police Thursday morning, authorities said.

Catherine Dransfield, 67, was found just before 11 a.m. outside the garage of her home on Hands Creek Road in East Hampton, where she lived with her mother, town police said.

Town police and the Suffolk County medical examiner's office will continue investigating Dransfield's death, but it does not appear suspicious at this time, police said.

A home health aide had called police after she arrived and could not find Dransfield, authorities said. Officers sent to check on the woman discovered the body near the garage.
