An East Islip man has been arrested on drug and weapon charges after Suffolk County police executed a search warrant last week at his home.

Third Squad detectives from the narcotics enforcement/special operations team said they found a loaded handgun, a shotgun, a scale and the prescription drugs hydrocodone and suboxone at the residence of Victor Rodriquez, 37, of 270 Connetquot Ave. after a search on March 5.

The drugs are commonly used to treat severe pain.

Rodriquez is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a weapon.

Arraignment information was not immediately available Wednesday.
