An East Moriches man has been charged with driving a robbery suspect to two bank holdups several months ago, Riverhead police said.
Police said Evgeniy Pulver, 23, faces two counts of fourth-degree criminal facilitation for providing transportation to John Gayles, who was arrested in February and charged with robbing two Capital One Banks.
The first robbery was Dec. 16 at the Capital One Bank at 140 East Main St. in Riverhead, police said. The second robbery took place at the Capital One Bank at 1491 Main Rd. in Jamesport on Jan. 6. Gayles, 55, was charged with two counts of third-degree robbery and arrested Feb. 25, police said.
The investigation found that Pulver had provided Gayles with transportation to both robberies, police said.
Pulver was arrested Thursday and has been released on $250 bail, police said.
