East Quogue woman charged with driving drunk with minors in car

Southampton Town police have charged an East Quogue woman with driving while intoxicated with two members of her family under 16, police said.

Rocio Londona, 50, was arrested about 1:14 a.m. Sunday on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays after police saw her failing to maintain her lane and speeding, according to Southampton police. She was charged with drunken driving under Leandra's Law, a felony, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor and traffic infractions.

She was scheduled to be arraigned Sunday morning.

Police did not immediately explain Londona's relationship to the children in the car. They were turned over to other family members, police said.
