East Setauket road closed after crash, Suffolk police say

Upper Sheep Pasture Road in East Setauket was closed in both directions early Friday after a car hit a tree, downing utility lines, Suffolk County police said.

The accident happened shortly before 8 a.m., closing the roadway between North Belle Meade Road and Lower Sheep Pasture Road, police said.

A PSEG Long Island spokesman said repairs are expected to be completed at about 2 p.m. Friday.

One person had minor injuries, according to a police spokeswoman. She did not immediately have more details.
