State Police closed Ocean Parkway’s eastbound lanes just west of Cedar Beach for several hours while troopers investigated a crash.
Troopers received a call at 12:33 p.m. about a two-car collision on the parkway, with injuries, in Babylon Town, a police spokesman said. The road was reopened by 5:30 p.m.
It was not immediately clear how many people were hurt. Photos from the scene show an SUV in the bushes near another vehicle by the side of the road with a crumpled front passenger side.
Additional information was not immediately available.
