Sunrise Highway in East Islip reopens after serious crash
A portion of Sunrise Highway in East Islip has reopened after Suffolk police investigated a serious motorcycle accident.
The eastbound portion of the highway leading up to Exit 46 was closed as of 7:10 p.m. as detectives investigated an accident that left a motorcyclist and his passenger seriously injured, police said.
The highway was reopened by Monday morning. It was unclear how long it was closed.
