Eastbound Sunrise Highway lanes reopen after emergency roadwork during evening rush, DOT says
All eastbound lanes of the Sunrise Highway from Exit 45 in East Islip to Exit 46 in Great River are now open after being closed due to emergency roadwork, officials said.
The closure -- which initially involved all three lanes -- allowed for emergency pothole repair, said a DOT spokeswoman.
