Eastbound Sunrise in W. Babylon reopens
The eastbound lanes of Sunrise Highway in West Babylon were briefly closed late Thursday afternoon following a one-car accident, the Suffolk County sheriff's office said.
A vehicle overturned at Exit 38, Little East Neck Road, prompting the lane closures at 5:21 p.m., officials said.
The state Department of Transportation's informny.com website initially reported that the crash involved multiple vehicles. However, only one vehicle was involved and there were no injuries, according to a sheriff's office spokesman.
By 6 p.m. the lanes were reopened, he said.
