Bicyclist Edgar Cosico killed in crash involving Jeep Cherokee in Bay Shore, police say
Suffolk County police are investigating a motor-vehicle crash Monday morning that killed a bicyclist in Bay Shore.
Thomas Felice Jr. was driving a 2009 Jeep Cherokee north on Fifth Avenue at Dowsing Avenue at about 5:30 a.m. when “his vehicle struck a male bicyclist who was also traveling north on Fifth Avenue,” police said in a news release.
Police identified the bicyclist as Edgar Cosico, 54, of Bay Shore.
Cosico was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.
Felice, 32, was not injured in the crash, and no charges are pending at this time, police said.
