Two suspects were arrested less than two hours after a Blue Point burglary -- and one of the suspects now faces charges in a string of break-ins in that community, police said Friday.
A resident of Oakwood Drive in Blue Point called 911 at about 2:10 p.m. Thursday after discovering their home had been burglarized, Suffolk County police said.
Fifth Squad Special Operations Team detectives, already on patrol because of recent area burglaries, received a description of the suspects provided by witnesses, according to a police news release.
Police said the detectives then located the suspects at their Blue Point home, arresting them just before 4 p.m.
