Two portions of Elwood Road reopened Monday morning after being closed for a short period because of a ruptured gas line, Suffolk County police said.

National Grid repaired the ruptured line in Elwood, and Elwood Road was reopened at the intersections of Warner Road and at Route 25, Jericho Turnpike, at about 9:10 a.m., a police spokeswoman said.

Elwood Road was closed at both intersections, police said.

Neither the utility nor police reported any injuries.
