Two teens were injured when their car struck a tree on Cuba Hill Road in Elwood early Wednesday, fire officials said.

The one-car crash, involving a Honda Civic, occurred near the intersection of Elbormar Drive. Fire officials said about two dozen firefighters and EMS personnel from the Greenlawn Fire Department responded to the scene and said the two teens were taken to Huntington Hospital by the Greenlawn Rescue Squad.

The teens, whose identities were not released, sustained undisclosed injuries in the crash. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Officials said that firefighters also cleaned up a fuel spill at the crash site.
