State Sen. Lee Zeldin (R-Shirley) has House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) coming to a $500-a-head fundraising lunch for his GOP congressional campaign Saturday in Quogue. Hosts are Carol and Jerry Levin, a financial turnaround expert and philanthropist.

George Demos, Zeldin's rival in the June 24 primary, has pummeled Zeldin in ads with endorsements from former Gov. George Pataki and former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Local and state GOP and Conservative leaders back Zeldin, as do Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and ex-Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.). The primary winner faces Rep. Tim Bishop (D-Southampton).-- Rick Brand
