The Lutz family and their new "Extreme Makeover" home will make their television debut next month.
The episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" featuring the East Setauket family will air at 8 p.m. Oct. 3, said Seth Selesnow, spokesman for construction manager Alure of Plainview.
A source with the show Monday confirmed the plan to air the episode on that date.
The family of six children who have Down syndrome, cared for by an older sister, Kathleen Lutz, 39, got the new house in June, courtesy of the show.
Lutz said at the time that the red and gray two-story house had a "New York theme," including the back half of a yellow taxicab as a couch and, unlike their old home, it has a bedroom for everyone.
