Two people were killed in a one-vehicle crash in Commack early Saturday morning, State Police said.

Another two people were in the sport utility vehicle and are in serious condition, police said. 

The crash, reported at 4:18 a.m., occurred at the juncture where the Sunken Meadow and Northern State parkways meet, police said. Four people were in a 2020 Land Rover heading south when the vehicle lost control and struck the overpass south of the Northern State Parkway. The four people in the SUV were taken to hospitals, where two died of their injuries, State Police said in a statement.

The crash, which disrupted traffic for about five hours, is being investigated.

State Police is asking for anyone with information regarding this crash to call 631-756-3300.
