Suffolk County police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a woman in Hauppauge on Saturday.

Police report that Carol Anne Faulhaber, 71, of Ronkonkoma, died after the crash on Saturday around 2 p.m. when her 2016 Honda CR-V was hit head-on by a 2015 Jeep. 

Police said a 62-year-old woman driving the Jeep was going west on Hauppauge Road when she turned left onto Terry Road and collided with Faulhaber's Honda.

Faulhaber was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Jeep was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. 

Also, a male passenger in the Jeep was taken to South Shore University Hospital where he was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Detectives ask anyone with information on the crash to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
