A pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing Route 110 in East Farmingdale Saturday night, Suffolk County police said Sunday.

The man, whose identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin, was crossing the intersection at Conklin Street when he was struck by a southbound 2001 GMC Savana at about 11:10 p.m., police said in a news release.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant with the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office, police said.

The driver of the GMC, a 57-year-old Lindenhurst man, was not injured, according to the news release.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152.
