A late-night fire at a Medford recycling plant was extinguished fairly quickly, Suffolk County fire officials said Thursday.

The fire at Gershow Recycling on Peconic Avenue was reported in a 911 call at 11:53 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.

Firefighters from Medford, Yaphank and North Patchogue responded to the scene, found a building fire, contained it — and officials said the fire was reported under control at 1:09 a.m.

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
