Firefighters from Lake Grove, Nesconset and Holbrook fought a fire at a home on Deer Road in Ronkonkoma, officials said. (Feb. 6, 2012) Credit: Stringer News Service

Fire damaged two homes in Suffolk County early Monday morning -- one in Halesite, one in Ronkonkoma -- though no one was injured, Suffolk police and fire officials said.

The fire at the home on Fort Hill Road in Halesite broke out on the first floor and was reported in a 911 call at 4:28 a.m.

Volunteers from Halesite, Huntington and Cold Spring Harbor fire departments handled the blaze, officials said.

The fire at the home on Deer Road in Ronkonkoma was reported at 2:41 a.m. Firefighters from Lakeland, Hauppauge, Nesconset, Ronkonkoma and Holbrook fought that fire.

Both fires remain under investigation.
