Fire destroys Coram house

The cause of a fire that enveloped a home in Coram Monday morning remains undetermined and under investigation, Suffolk County police said.
The blaze at the home on Howe Road near Hawkins Path was reported in a 911 call around 8:30 a.m. and was battled by volunteers from the Selden, Terryville, Coram and Farmingville fire departments. No injuries were reported.
Officials said the home was destroyed by the blaze.
The Brookhaven Town fire marshal also is investigating.
