The Lakeland Fire Department responded Thursday evening to the scene of this house fire on West Drive in Ronkonkoma. The homeowner had safely escaped with several family pets. Volunteers from two other departments joined Lakeland Fire department fire fighters at a blaze Thursday night that fully engulfed a private home at 60 West Dr. in Ronkonkoma, officials said.

There were no reported injuries from the fire that was first reported about 9:45 p.m.
