Two firefighters were injured responding to a Huntington Station fire on Friday night, an official said.

The blaze occurred in a garage at 169 Pulaski Rd. around 9:20 p.m., Brian Christian, chief of the Huntington Manor Fire Department, said in a phone interview on Saturday.

Around 75 firefighters from five fire departments responded to the scene, Christian said.

Two Huntington Manor Fire Department firefighters suffered heat exhaustion and were transported to a hospital, according to Christian. No one was in the garage at the time of the fire, he said. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is being investigated, he said.
