An early morning fire destroyed three tractor-trailer trucks at a Huntington Station recycling plant Thursday, Suffolk County police said.

Arson investigators were on the scene later Thursday. Fire officials told Newsday the blaze appears suspicious. Police said it was unclear if the fire is suspicious.

Police said the fire, reported at 1:09 a.m., according to fire officials, broke out in the gated yard of the Modern Waste Services plant on West Pulaski Road.

Four Huntington Manor fire engines and about 30 volunteer firefighters responded to the scene. Fire officials said the blaze was brought under control in about 15 minutes.

No one was injured.
