Volunteer firefighters from four departments battled a blaze Monday morning at a home in Lake Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County police and fire officials said.

Police said reports from the scene were that all occupants had been safely evacuated.

Fire officials said volunteers from Ronkonkoma, Lakeland, Holbrook and Nesconset responded to the scene on Cheryl Drive after receiving the 911 call reporting the fire at 6:08 a.m. Police said responding firefighters found the home "fully engulfed," but said additional details were still emerging.

Arson Squad investigators were requested to investigate the cause of the fire.
